Bendigo Bank

Darling Square Community Bank Branch of Bendigo Bank

The brief of the project was to work closely with Lend Lease (the developer) to achieve construction certificate while creating a multi-functional space that could hold small private meetings for its occupants during business hours and be flexible enough to able to hold community events after business hours.

The use of different flooring materials differentiates between the private and open spaces. Movable screens are used to section off more intimate, private spaces or are then opened up when there is a function.

Sustainable materials played a key focus in the design.

  • Tasmanian Oak, and recycled timber were selected for joinery.

  • Carbon zero materials from Interface were used for the vinyl-timber flooring and carpet.
