Low Energy Extension

Heritage Terrace with Low Energy Extension

With climate change and energy consumption being the forefront the sustainable movement, Passive house is a low energy standard of construction which allows the building to retain 24 degrees all year round without the use of air conditioning.

The house is well insulated, ventilated and orientated to allow the house to breath and perform at an optimal level to reduce our overall energy consumption. Heating and cooling equates to 50% of household energy in a standard build. Our houses are our largest contribution to energy consumption and the residential construction industry contributing to 28% of the overall carbon emission world-wide.

Passive house standards allows use to reduce our reliance on air conditioning, and therefore reducing our energy consumption. Our new extension connected to an Heritage listed terrace house, allows the new space to perform at the optimal comfort level.
